north gaRaven Cliffs Waterfalls

Get ready for a really good hike on this one. Its approximately 6 miles combined in and out. The total hike is well worth it. The entire hike runs along a cascading mountain stream offering the sound of rushing waters along the entire hike.

The majority of the hike is well shaded making it excellent for hiking on hot summer days. You will encounter approximately 6 waterfalls along the way. There are no restrictions on leaving the trail to climb down to each of the waterfalls, but you must be very careful as some of these climbs down to the bottom of the falls are very dangerous, and could prove to be deadly.

The top of the hike offers some outstanding views of rock cliffs, and offers the ability for even the beginning hiker the chance to climb a good ways up the cliffs.

As far as lodging, and restaurants go, there is a small mountain village nearby which overs dozens of various dining choices, as well as hotel, and cabin rentals. There are two really notable campgrounds in the area. One offers well shaded camping located right on a cascading mountain stream allowing you to sleep to the sounds of cascading waters all night. The other campground is much like a small resort offering everything from tent sites to a beach area, more hiking trails, along with boating and fishing on a gorgeous mountain lake. This campground also offers a impressive Dining buffet serving all you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and boasts mountain trout on it’s menu nightly.

There is one other fantastic waterfall hike just a few minutes down the road from Raven Cliffs that is a do not miss hike and waterfall views.
